Summer is the busiest time of year in Dorset by far. The population expands from a mere few hundred to thousands as people flock from all over the world to enjoy our beautiful little town on the water. With two large lakes and many smaller ones, boating is a major attraction. When the weather’s nice you can boat to Robinson’s General Store from anywhere on Lake of Bays to do you grocery shopping, sit down for a meal or just wander around town. Maybe you prefer driving to smaller lakes where you can throw in your kayak or canoe and admire the peacefulness that is cottage country.
